paradise! Fishing charters and boat rentals are available
year-round. The best fishing season for salmon from
April to September and for halibut and cod from April
to October.

for divers. Port Hardy is rated as one of the best
dive locations in the world for water clarity and
tidal action. Local services include gear rentals
and fully equipped dive boats.
The North Island
is renowned worldwide for its killer whale population.
The large number of whales in the area from May to
September almost guarantee whale sightings during
a tour. Other marine life such as dolphins, porpoises,
and minke whales are also seen regularly.
